The Palau de la Música Catalana opened its programming on July 1 with a concert by pianist and composer Albert Guinovart who gave a recital in which the master’s virtuosity amazed the audience. Emotion is the protagonist both in the armchairs and on stage. Works by Chopin and Granados opened the performance that continued with the premiere of Cinc novel·letes composed by Guinovart himself during the confinement. The author’s Valsos poètics also resonated in the Palace, as did two of the 24 miniatures created in recent months. The Op. 10, Nº 12 in C minor by Chopin was the work that closed the concert. The performance was a tribute to the victims of Covid-19 and and the medical people. The applause and emotion were the answer to the dynamism and expressiveness that Guinovart is able to transmit on the piano to reach the soul of the spectators. The exquisite and moving recital was the first success that started the cycle of 22 concerts at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
